The Great Barrier Reef is the world's largest collection of coral reefs are composed of approximately 3,000 reefs and 900 islands, which stretches 2,600 km. This reef is located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland in northeast Australia.
Great Barrier Reef can be seen from space and is sometimes referred to as the single largest organism in the world. In fact, reefs are formed from millions of tiny organisms, known as coral polyps.
