Church Spassky Cave

On the edge of the River Don, Russia, there is one of the most interesting tourist attractions in the country, the Spassky Church Cave. The church is unique in that it carved out of a rock.

The church is believed to be carved thousands of years ago, even before Christianity came to Russia. Formerly, this is just a giant rock hollowed to make the monks cave hideout Russia.

In the vicinity there are other attractions that can be visited, namely the Mount Golgotha​​, Mount Tabor, and the Garden of Gethsemane. Locals believe the area around the church is a sacred area.
